I am D C Parames Waraiah and you can find me at Shop 44 in Maharaja Plaza on Ashely Road. Being in a plaza means there is always something going on. Shop 44 isn't the biggest unit, but it’s mine and it fits everything I need. Ashely Road stays busy from early morning until quite late at night. I usually get in before the crowds start to show up just to have some quiet time with my coffee. The plaza has seen a lot of shops come and go, but I’ve managed to stick around in this little corner. It’s got that old-school mall feel to it, where the tiles are a bit worn down and the lights flicker occasionally. I like it though. It has character. My shop is filled with papers and things I’ve collected over the years. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but I know where everything is. People wander in from the street just to escape the heat sometimes, and we end up chatting about nothing in particular. Maharaja Plaza is a bit of a landmark for the locals. It’s not a modern glass building, just a solid place where people come to get things done. I don’t go in for all that fancy decor. Just a desk, a couple of chairs, and the work in front of me. That is all I really need to get through the day.
