Electronic City can be a real headache to get into with the traffic on Hosur Road, but we’ve been at No. 82-B in Phase-1 for quite some time. Customised Technologies (P) Ltd. is a small operation, really. We spend our days looking at components and trying to figure out why things aren't lining up right. It’s a lot of trial and error here. Sometimes the air conditioning in the back room acts up, but we just open a window and keep going. We aren't the kind of place that has a big reception desk or someone to bring you water. Usually, you just walk in and find one of us hunched over a desk or a piece of equipment. It’s quiet work, mostly. We get parts delivered in the morning, and then it’s just a matter of putting the pieces together. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with bigger buildings going up all around us, but we stay pretty much the same. My desk is covered in old manuals and half-finished projects. It might look messy to an outsider, but I know where everything is. We don't do much talking unless it's about the work itself. When five o'clock hits, the road outside gets jammed, so we often stay a bit later just to avoid the mess. It's a decent place to spend the day if you like working with your hands and your head.
