Cube Architects

We've been at 35/1 on the 8th Lane over near Chandra Chowk for a bit now. Cube Architects is just a small group of us working out of this spot near MJ Market. Brigade Road is always busy, so getting here can be a bit of a headache with the traffic, but we like the energy of the area. Most days we are just sitting around our desks dealing with blueprints and trying to figure out how to make things fit into the spaces people have. It’s not always glamorous work. Sometimes we spend hours just arguing over where a window should go or how to fix a staircase that doesn't look right on paper. We mostly deal with local folks who want to change their house or maybe put up something new on a small plot. It gets dusty in the office with all the material samples and rolls of paper everywhere. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and see us working. If the chai guy comes by, we usually take a break and talk about whatever project is giving us trouble that week. Dealing with the building codes and the paperwork at the city office takes up more time than we’d like, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We try to keep things straightforward and don't use a lot of big words when we talk to people. We are just trying to get the job done right and make sure the walls are straight.
