Crown Plaza International, Bangalore

Our place is called Crown Plaza International, but don't let the name make you think we're some giant skyscraper. We are actually located at 402, Basaveswara Nilaya in Hennur Bande. It’s a regular building in a residential part of Bangalore-43. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops, so it’s a bit quieter than the city center. We’ve been operating out of this address for a while now. It’s basically just a few rooms where we handle our business and talk to guests. Sometimes the power goes out in this part of Hennur, and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. We don't have a big team of people in uniforms. It’s just a handful of us making sure the rooms are tidy and the guests have what they need for the night. The building, Basaveswara Nilaya, is easy to find once you get into the Bande area. We spend a lot of time just sitting in the office area, dealing with the daily stuff that comes up. It’s a very grounded way to run a hotel. We aren't trying to be the most expensive or the most famous place in Bangalore. We just want to offer a decent spot to stay for anyone who ends up in our part of town. It’s honest work, and we like being part of this local community.
