We are based at number 131 in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. Most people around here just call it RT Nagar. Our work is mainly engineering consultancy, which basically means we spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and checking calculations for various projects. We aren't a massive firm with hundreds of employees. It's a smaller group of us who have been in the engineering field for quite some time. The office is located in a residential-style building, so it feels a bit more relaxed than those big glass towers downtown. We have a lot of books and technical manuals stacked up on the shelves. It’s the kind of place where you’ll usually find someone hunched over a drawing board or a computer screen arguing about a specific measurement. We don't do much in the way of marketing. People usually find us because another engineer or a contractor mentioned our name. It's a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which helps when you need to concentrate on complex designs. We try to be very practical with our advice. If something won't work, we just say so. There is no point in overcomplicating things just to look important. We’ve handled a variety of projects over the years, from small structural checks to bigger site plans. It’s steady work and we enjoy the problem-solving part of it most. We usually take a long lunch break when the weather is nice.
