Being on the 5th floor of the Shankarnarayana Building on M. G. Road is interesting. You can look out the window and see all the traffic and people walking below, but it stays fairly quiet inside. We are in Block 1 at number 25. The building is one of those older ones on this street that has a lot of character. We do a lot of research and development here. It’s mostly people sitting in front of computer screens for hours at a time. The office layout is a bit old-fashioned with cubicles and a small reception area that doesn't get many visitors. We have a lot of books and manuals stacked up in the corners because we’ve been here a while. The elevators can be a bit slow during the lunch hour when everyone in the building tries to leave at once. We usually just go to one of the small shops nearby to grab a coffee. It’s a professional environment but it’s not flashy at all. There are cables running along the floor in some places and the carpet is getting a bit thin near the door. We don't really have big parties or anything. We just come in, do our coding or our math, and go home. It’s a steady kind of work life in the middle of a very busy city. We just keep to ourselves and do our work.
