Our office for Cranes Software International Ltd is tucked away at No. 51 on the 20th Main in Kempegowda Layout. If you know Bangalore, you know how these layouts can be a bit like a maze if you aren't careful. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now, and it’s a pretty standard setup. We work on software projects, which basically means a lot of sitting and typing. The 560058 area code is our home base. It’s not one of those glass-fronted buildings you see in the tech parks. It’s more of a regular building where we can actually open the windows sometimes. The traffic on the main road can be loud, but we’ve mostly tuned it out by now. We have a small team here. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the code we write actually works like it’s supposed to. There’s a lot of back and forth between us during the day. We drink a lot of coffee to stay awake during the long stretches. Sometimes the rains make the road outside a bit of a mess, but that’s just Bangalore for you. We don’t have a big fancy reception desk. You just walk in and see us working. It’s a practical way to run a business without all the extra fluff that doesn't really help anyone get the job done. We just do the work and go home. It's simple enough.
