Country Vacations

We’ve been based in Bangalore for quite some time now, running Country Vacations. Our office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine; it’s just a regular workspace filled with maps, computers, and a lot of ringing phones. We spend most of our hours trying to figure out travel dates and looking up places for people to stay. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication, and sometimes things get a little confusing with all the different schedules. We don't have a specific mission statement plastered on the walls. We just come in, sit at our desks, and try to help folks get their trips sorted out without too much trouble. Bangalore is a big city, and we’re just one small part of the travel world here. Some days are incredibly hectic with people wanting to book things at the last minute, and other days are a bit slower, giving us time to catch up on paperwork. We’ve learned over the years that things rarely go perfectly, so we just try to be practical and fix problems when they pop up. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a group of people who know how to navigate the travel system. We keep a stash of snacks in the breakroom and usually have the radio playing in the background. It’s a simple way to work, and it keeps us grounded while we handle everyone’s holiday plans.
