Counter Staff

Our office is tucked away at 686, 7th Main in the HBR Layout area. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s a quiet enough spot once you get here. We spend most of our time at the desks, looking over files and talking to people who walk in through the door. The space isn't very big, so we have to keep things pretty tidy. There is a small area for people to sit while they wait for their turn. We’ve got a couple of computers that have seen better days, but they work well enough for what we need. 1st Stage is a busy part of the neighborhood, and we see a lot of the same faces passing by every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. It’s a simple setup. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and some notes pinned up. Working in staffing means we hear a lot of stories from different people looking for work. We just try to help them out with the paperwork and tell them where to go. It gets a bit hectic around lunch when everyone goes out to the nearby stalls. We’ve been at this 2nd Block location for a bit now and know the local shops well. It’s just a normal day-to-day routine here in Bangalore.
