Our little office is situated in Koramangala VI Block, right near Jyothi Nivas College at number 478 in the KHB Colony. It is a lively neighborhood with plenty of students and small shops all over the place. Inside the building, things are usually a bit cluttered with stacks of law books and files that have been around for years. We do not have a fancy reception area or a lot of modern furniture. Most of the desks are covered with paperwork because there is always something new to read through. People come to us for help with various public causes and legal issues that affect the community. You can often hear the sound of the traffic and people chatting outside while we work. We spend a lot of our time going through documents or preparing to head out to the courts. The tea lady comes by a couple of times a day, which is usually the highlight for everyone in the room. We have been here in this part of KM 5th Block for a long time, and we know the street pretty well. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we have meetings, but we make it work somehow. We are just a group of people trying to do our job without making a big fuss about it. The office stays open late quite often, especially when a big case is coming up. It is just regular work in a busy city.
