Corti Clinic

Corti Clinic is over here in BTM 2nd Stage, specifically on 6th Cross. Being so close to Bannerghatta Road means we hear the traffic all day long, but inside it’s a bit more peaceful. We spend a lot of our time looking at ears and helping people who can’t hear as well as they used to. It’s a small place, nothing too grand, just a couple of rooms and a front desk that gets pretty cluttered with paperwork by noon. We usually open up early in the morning and start by cleaning the equipment we used the day before. The staff here has been together for a while, so we mostly know what each other is thinking without having to say much. People from the nearby apartments often drop in just to ask a quick question or schedule a time to come back later. We don’t have fancy coffee machines or plush sofas in the waiting area, just some sturdy chairs and old magazines that have been sitting there for months. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so some of the older patients have to take it slow on the stairs. It’s just how things go around here in Bangalore. We try to keep the atmosphere calm because people are usually a bit nervous when they come in. By the time we close up in the evening, we’re all pretty tired but it’s a good kind of tired.
