Our little office is over in A-271, Sector 2, right in the Hmt Colony area of Jalahalli. Bangalore traffic is a nightmare these days, so being tucked away here in the colony is actually quite nice for us. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now. The building is a bit old, and the stairs creak when you walk up, but it works for what we do. We mostly spend our time looking at papers and talking to people who come in looking for a bit of guidance. It’s not a huge operation with glass walls and expensive coffee machines. We have a few desks, some old metal files, and a water cooler that makes a weird bubbling noise every hour. People from the Hmt area know us well. They stop by just to say hello or ask a quick question sometimes. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone has a problem with their paperwork or needs some advice on a project, we sit down and look at it together. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of work to catch up on, but we usually try to head home before the evening rush gets too bad. It’s a local business through and through. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the guys who sell tea on the corner. It feels like a real community here in Bangalore, even as the city gets bigger and louder every year. We just do our work.
