Commissioning Engineer

Our office is at No: 10/4 on North Street in Kodikkal Palayam, Tiruvarur. It’s a plain building, nothing special to look at from the outside, but it serves its purpose. Tiruvarur is a place with a lot of history, but North Street is just a regular residential and small business road. I usually have my boots by the door because I’m often coming in from a site with mud on them. The desk is usually covered in blueprints and technical manuals that I haven't had time to file away properly. There is a small stack of newspapers in the corner that we haven't gotten around to throwing away yet. It’s a bit of a mess, but I know where everything is. The fan overhead wobbles a bit when it’s on the highest setting, so I usually keep it on medium. Kodikkal Palayam is a quiet enough area, which is good when I need to focus on complex calculations or reports. I’ve been working as a commissioning engineer for a while now, and this little spot in Tiruvarur is where all the planning happens. There’s a small window that looks out onto the street, and I often see the neighbors walking by or the local dogs napping in the shade. It’s not a corporate environment at all; it’s just a workspace where I can get the job done without any distractions. It’s practical and it’s home for the business.
