We are situated out in Swiss Town, which is quite a bit away from the main hustle of Bangalore city. Being near the airport area means it’s a bit quieter out here compared to the downtown traffic, which is a nice change for us. It’s a large space with a lot of gardens and greenery to look after. Every day there is something to fix, whether it’s a pipe in the lawn or just keeping the rooms ready for whoever is checking in. It’s a lot of walking around for the staff because the grounds are pretty spread out. We get people coming for all sorts of reasons, some just want to get away from the noise for a weekend. The weather out this way is usually a bit better than the city center, which helps the plants grow. We spend a lot of time managing the schedules and making sure the kitchen stays stocked with fresh stuff. It is a lot of work behind the scenes that nobody really sees when they arrive. It isn't always perfect; sometimes a light bulb goes out or the grass grows too fast during the rainy season. We just handle it as it comes without making a big fuss. It’s a nice enough place to work if you like being outdoors and seeing the seasons change. We’ve been part of the Swiss Town landscape for years now and most people around here know us well.
