Our location is out in Puthar Jhora Tg, near Po Manabari in the Jalpaiguri district. It’s a different world out here in West Bengal, far away from the big city lights. Being part of Citymax Hospitality (Ind)Pvt Ltd. and the Landmark Group from Dubai, you might expect something really corporate, but our daily reality is much more local. We are surrounded by tea gardens and lots of green trees. The air is fresh, but the roads can be quite rough, especially when the monsoon rains hit. We work out of a practical office that handles the hospitality side of things for people visiting the area. It’s a quiet life for the most part. Our building is functional, made to handle the humidity and the heat. We spend our time talking to suppliers and making sure the local staff have what they need to do their jobs. Sometimes we get visitors from the bigger offices, and they always comment on how different it is here. We don't have the fancy cafes or malls nearby. We mostly eat what’s available in the local market. The pace of life is slower, which is good because it gives us time to actually talk to people. We focus on the daily tasks like checking inventory and managing the facility. It's a lot of coordinating over the phone because of where we are located.
