We operate out of No. 22 on 21st Cross in Cubbonpet, Bangalore-2. This is the office side of things for Citrine Hotel, which is usually known for its Sheshadripuram location. This Cubbonpet spot is managed by Yogesh. If you know this area, you know it’s a maze of narrow streets and very old buildings. It’s a very traditional part of Bangalore, far away from the big IT parks. Our office is just a regular house-turned-office where we keep track of everything for the hotel. The building is older and has that classic Bangalore feel to it. It’s usually quite loud outside with the sounds of the market and people moving around. We have a small desk setup and a lot of registers to keep things in order. It’s not a place with glass elevators or fancy cafes; we just have our tea and get to work. Most of us have lived in this part of town for most of our lives, so we’re used to the congestion and the busy pace. We spend our time managing bookings and looking after the logistics. It’s a lot of coordination between this office and the hotel itself. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait or work by the windows. It’s a humble place but we get the job done.
