Citibank Shelters

We are over in Ulsoor, at 202 Batra Centre on the second floor. The address is number 27, and it’s a fairly easy spot to find if you’re familiar with the Ulsoor area. The Batra Centre is a solid building, not one of those new glass towers, but it’s sturdy and does the job. At Citibank Shelters, we don't have a huge staff. It’s just a handful of us sitting in an office that’s been decorated with whatever we could find over the years. We have some old filing cabinets that squeak every time they open and a water cooler that’s always a bit temperamental. Ulsoor is a nice place to work because you can walk out and find good food pretty easily. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes it hard to hear ourselves think, but once you’re inside the office, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone call. We handle things related to housing and property, which means a lot of checking documents and talking to people about their plans. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just come up to the second floor and find us. It’s a practical workspace for practical people. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors in the building are mostly quiet, which helps us get through the mountain of paperwork we seem to accumulate every single week. We just keep our heads down and get the job done.
