Chitra Engineering

We are located over at 1034 Padarayanapura. It’s an older part of town and our shop fits right in with the surroundings. We’ve been doing engineering work here for a long time now. The floor is made of solid concrete and it’s usually covered in metal shavings or a bit of oil, which is just part of the daily job. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that to show off. If you walk into the shop, you’ll see our machines and tools spread out everywhere. It can get pretty loud when the lathes are running or someone is grinding down metal. We work with our hands mostly. Some people think the area is a bit crowded with all the narrow streets, but we like it here. We know the other shop owners on the street. We take on whatever work comes through the door, whether it’s a small part for a neighbor who needs a fix or a bigger job for a factory. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the heavy equipment. Our hours aren't always strictly 9 to 5; if a job needs to be finished for a customer, we stay until it’s done. We aren't much for talking or fancy speeches, we’d rather just get to the work at hand. It’s a dusty, noisy place but it’s where we’ve built everything ourselves over the years. We don't use computers much, just our hands and the old machines.
