Cheta Sagar

Cheta Sagar is over in Koramangala at Saint Park Adajan 9. It’s a small spot, tucked away a bit. We mostly do food for the people who live right around here. It’s not a big restaurant. We have a few benches where you can sit and eat. Most people just take their food home in plastic bags. We make traditional stuff, things we grew up eating. My wife helps in the kitchen and I handle the customers. It’s a lot of work. We start early to get the batter ready. The street outside is narrow, so it’s hard for cars to come through. It’s better to walk. We’ve had this shop for a long time. The walls have some stains from the cooking steam, and we should probably paint again soon. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want to eat, you just show up. Sometimes we close early if we are tired or if there’s a family thing. It’s a simple life. We know everyone’s kids and what they like to eat. We don't use any fancy machines, just our hands and some old pots. It’s just how we do things here. The rain sometimes gets under the door when it’s heavy. We use a lot of spices that we grind ourselves in the morning. People say it smells good from the corner. It's just a small family business. No fancy menus, just what's fresh. We also have tea.
