Chefmagic

Chefmagic is run out of a house called Kalipoyilthottathil, which is in Palayad Nada in the Vatakara area of Kozhikode, Kerala. The address is quite a mouthful if you aren't from around here. Being in Kerala, we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and the air always feels a bit damp, especially when the monsoon hits. The house itself is where all the work happens, tucked away in a spot that feels more like a home than a business. We use the rooms to manage everything, and the kitchen is often the busiest part of the whole place. There is no corporate suite or sleek office furniture here. We have wooden chairs and old tables that have been around for years. The pin code is 673530, and the local postman knows us by name because of all the mail that comes through. We spend our days coordinating things via Palayad Nada and making sure the daily lists are finished. It’s a very local way of doing things, and we like that it doesn't feel like a cold, glass office building. Most of our staff live nearby, so there is a lot of talk about local news and what's happening in the district. It’s just a house where we work hard and keep the magic of the name going. Sometimes the power goes out during a storm, but we just light some lamps and keep moving.
