Chauhan Hosieries

I've been here at Gotri Road for a bit now. Chauhan Hosieries is basically just a few rooms full of stuff. Mostly we have socks and undergarments piled up on the shelves. It gets pretty hot in Vadodara, so we keep the fans going all day. Sometimes the delivery guys come late and we have to wait around. It's just a regular shop, nothing fancy to look at from the outside at 288 RMV 2nd Stage. My nephew helps out sometimes when it gets busy in the evenings. We usually open up around ten once the traffic settles down. Most people around here know where we are. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the boxes just end up in a mess in the back. I spend a lot of time checking the inventory and making sure we haven't run out of the basic sizes. It is a lot of work just keeping track of everything. The street gets noisy with all the scooters passing by. We have some regulars who have been coming for years. They usually just walk in and ask for what they need. It’s a simple life running a business here. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the name on the front. I mostly just sit at the counter and wait for whoever comes through the door. It is what it is, just a local spot for people to get their basics without a fuss.
