Chandrasen B Rao

If you have ever been to Cubbonpet Main Road, you know it is one of those places where you really have to watch where you are walking. Our office is right there in the Hazrath Hameed Shah Complex, specifically on the ground floor at unit 6. It’s a busy spot, and there is always someone passing by the window or stopping to look at the signs. I’ve been working from this desk for quite some time now. Chandrasen B Rao is the name on the door, but most people just poke their head in to say hello or ask for directions to another shop in the complex. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the files are stacked a bit high on the side tables, but it’s a working office. We don’t have those modern glass partitions or fancy coffee machines. It is mostly just paper, pens, and a lot of talking on the phone with various people. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially in the afternoons when the market nearby is in full swing. We have to keep the door shut sometimes just to hear ourselves think over the horns. It is a very old-school way of doing things, I suppose. We know the other shop owners in the complex and the tea man who comes around twice a day with his kettle. It is just a standard local spot in a very old part of Bangalore where things don't change very fast.
