Chandrakant & Nayak

We are up here on the second floor of the building in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. It is not the newest place, but it works for what we do at Chandrakant & Nayak. Being in Ideal Homes Township means it is mostly quiet, except for the usual street noises that drift up Samuel Street. We spend a lot of time at these desks. The office has been here for a while now. Most days start with opening the windows to let some air in before the sun gets too high. There are two of us mainly running things, and we have our own ways of organizing the paperwork. It is a lot of files and phone calls. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back. We know the shop owners downstairs pretty well. You get used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The second floor has a decent view of the street, so you can see who is coming and going. It’s not fancy, just a few tables and chairs and some old cabinets that have seen better days. We don’t really have a big sign out front, just the one by the stairs. People usually find us because they know someone who came here before. It feels more like a workspace than a corporate office. We just keep our heads down and handle the work as it comes in from the township and beyond.
