Chalet

Our place, Chalet, is located at number 5 on 7th Cross, right there on C.T. Street in Vasanthnagar. It is a decent area of Bangalore, relatively quiet compared to the main roads, which is nice for us. I spend most of my time here managing the daily goings-on. It is a small operation, so I end up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to checking the plumbing if something goes wrong. We have a few rooms and a common area where people tend to hang out. It is not a five-star resort, just a simple place for people to stay when they are in town for a few days. The building is a bit older, so it has its quirks, like a squeaky floorboard here and there or a window that is a bit stiff to open. We try to keep things clean and functional for everyone who comes through. Most of our guests are regulars who like the fact that it feels more like a home than a stiff hotel. I usually have a pot of tea going in the back if anyone needs a cup in the afternoon. Vasanthnagar is a good neighborhood because you can walk to a lot of places from here. We do not spend money on big ads; we just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to arrive. It is a simple life, looking after the property and the people in it.
