Over here at Century Seeds Pvt. Ltd., we deal with a lot of different seeds all year round. We are located in Azad Nagar at Seethapathi Agrahara 303/1. The building is old and has that earthy smell of dried plants and sacks. It’s a busy place during the planting seasons when everyone is looking for specific types of seeds. We spend a lot of time sorting through bags and making sure everything is labeled right. It’s easy to get confused with so many varieties. The staff here has been around for a long time, so we all know where everything is kept. We don’t really do much marketing, mostly just talk to the farmers and vendors who come to the door. Sometimes the weather affects how much we can get done, especially if it’s too humid for the storage. We have to keep an eye on the bags to make sure they stay dry. The office is just a small desk in the corner with piles of ledgers and old receipts. It’s not very modern, but it works for us. Seethapathi Agrahara is a narrow street, so loading the trucks can be a bit of a struggle with all the parked scooters. We just take it slow and get it done. It’s honest work and it keeps the food growing, which feels like a good thing to be doing with our time.
