Our office is on the second floor of the AVS Compound, which is on the 80 Feet Road in Koramangala’s 4th Block. It’s a lively part of town. There are plenty of places to eat around here, which is probably the best part of the location. The compound itself is a bit older, and the stairs can be a workout if the lift is feeling grumpy. We work on photovoltaics, which is basically just a fancy word for solar power stuff. Inside, it’s mostly just us at our desks. We have a small kitchen area where the kettle is always on. It’s not one of those modern offices with bean bags or pool tables. We just have sturdy chairs and enough light to see what we are doing. Sometimes the street noise from 80 Feet Road drifts up, but it’s mostly just background hum. We’ve got a lot of files and technical manuals taking up space on the shelves. It feels more like a workshop sometimes than a corporate office. We don't really do the whole suit-and-tie thing. Most of us just wear whatever is comfortable for a long day. It’s a practical space for practical people. When it rains, the sound on the windows is quite loud. We usually just stick to our tasks and try to get home before the evening traffic peaks, though that’s almost impossible in Koramangala.
