Carlson Wagonlit Travel

We've been here in Austin Town for a while now. Most days it is just us at the desks handling travel plans for folks going all over. It’s a busy spot in Bangalore, and if you know this part of town, you know the traffic can be a bit much sometimes. We are right in the layout, so it’s easy for people to find us when they need to sort out a trip. Some of us have been working here for years, watching the streets change outside the window. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at screens, making sure flights and hotels are lined up. It’s not always easy work, especially when things go wrong with a flight or someone gets stuck somewhere, but we just get on with it. The office is pretty standard, nothing too fancy, just desks and chairs and a small kitchen where we make tea. We see people coming in with questions about their itineraries and we try to give them clear answers. Bangalore is a big city and travel is just part of life here, whether it’s for work or a holiday. We don’t really do big speeches about what we do, we just show up at the office and keep things moving. It gets loud sometimes when the phones all ring at once, but that is just how a travel office goes. We like being in this neighborhood, it feels like home to us now. Most of the time it's just about getting the dates right for someone.
