Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Bangalore

Our branch of Carlson Wagonlit Travel is over in Lakshmidevinagar, which is part of the Nandini Layout area in Bangalore. We are at 101 on the 2nd Main Road. It’s a pretty local neighborhood, not like the big glass-and-steel parts of the city. We’ve got a post office nearby, which is handy for all the documents we have to send out. The office itself is on the smaller side. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of maps and travel brochures pinned to the walls. Most of our day involves looking up flights and trying to sort out itineraries for people. It gets quite busy in the mornings when the phones start ringing. We aren't a huge team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the door to filing papers. The 2nd Main Road has its share of cows and scooters, which sometimes makes parking a bit of a challenge for us and the people visiting. We usually bring our own tiffins for lunch and eat together at one of the larger desks. It feels more like a small family business than a big global company when you’re actually sitting inside. We have a small fan that wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving on hot afternoons. It’s just a normal, everyday office in a quiet part of town where we get the job done.
