Carbon Fabricators

Carbon Fabricators is over on Kalipalayam Triveni Road, specifically at 34/5. We’ve been at this spot for several years now. The workshop has a high ceiling which is good because we do a lot of welding, and the smoke needs somewhere to go. Even then, the walls are stained a bit dark from all the fumes over time. It’s a rough and tumble kind of place. We have these heavy workbenches that have seen a lot of use; they are covered in nicks and burn marks from the torches. We work with carbon steel mostly, which is heavy and leaves your hands black by lunchtime. There is a small tea stall just down Triveni Road where we go when we need a breather. The traffic on this road can be a real headache, especially when we are trying to unload a big shipment of raw material. We just have to be patient and wait for a gap. Most of the guys here have been working together for a while, so we don't have to talk much to know who needs to hold what. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and goes to see what they need. It’s honest work. Sometimes things don't go perfectly, and we have to start a piece over, but that’s just how fabrication goes. We just keep at it until the job is done right.
