Caravan World Travel is on the 2nd floor at 70 Richmond Town, Cannaught Road, right by the Pune Station. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you get here, it’s a quiet place to sit down and talk about trips. We spend our time looking at schedules and trying to find the right routes for people. It is not always easy because flights and trains change all the time. We have a few desks and some old maps on the walls. Being near Pune Station means we get a lot of people coming in who are already on the move. We don’t do any big commercials or anything. Most people find us because they were walking by or a friend told them we were up here. We just try to get the bookings right so nobody gets stuck somewhere they don't want to be. Sometimes the phones ring non-stop, and other times it’s very quiet. We deal with a lot of paperwork and digital files every day. It’s just us working in this office, trying to make sense of all the travel options out there. We’ve seen a lot of changes in how people travel over the years, but the basic job is still the same. We just sit at our desks and help folks get from one place to another without too much trouble.
