Captain

You can find us at 67/8 on Subbaraj Road, right at the 4th Cross on Lavelle Road. This is one of those older parts of Bangalore that still has some big trees and a bit of character. We operate under Maison Des Gourmets Pvt Ltd, and people usually just call us Captain. The office isn't very large, but it is in a great spot for getting around. Lavelle Road is always busy with people going to cafes or shops, but our specific cross is a bit quieter. The building has that classic Bangalore feel to it, not like the glass boxes they build nowadays. Inside, it is a bit of a mix of everything. We have some storage space and some desk space. We aren't big on decorations, so the walls are mostly bare except for some calendars and notes pinned up. Rahul and the rest of the team are usually around, either on calls or sorting out the daily logistics. It gets pretty humid in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always on the highest setting. We get our tea from a small stall just down the road because the office stove is a bit temperamental. It is a straightforward place where we just focus on the task at hand. There is no corporate hierarchy feel here. We all just sit together and get through the day's list. It is a practical, local operation through and through for us.
