Cane Point

Started out here in Koramangala quite a while ago. We are tucked into the Sri Kamadhenu Arcade right on the Inner Ring Road. It’s a busy spot, especially with all the traffic coming through BTM 1st Stage. Most days, the shop is a bit of a mess with pieces of cane and tools lying around. We don't really have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a place where we get work done. You can usually find us sitting near the entrance because the light is better there. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions since the arcade can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We handle a lot of furniture stuff, mostly chairs and racks that need fixing or just someone to look at them. The dust gets everywhere, and the smell of the raw materials is pretty strong in the mornings. It’s not a quiet job, that’s for sure. My hands are usually pretty rough by the end of the day from working with the fibers. We open up around ten, but sometimes it’s a little later if the traffic is bad. There’s a tea stall nearby where we spend a lot of time talking to the other shop owners. It’s just how things are here. We don't do much advertising. People just see the sign when they're driving toward the ring road and pull over if they need something done.
