Being right opposite IDBI Bank in Gandhi Nagar makes it easy for people to find Ammar Tower. We are at No. 1, on the 1st Cross. It is a busy corner of Bangalore, especially during the banking hours when everyone is rushing around. The office itself is pretty straightforward. I spend most of my time at the main desk, surrounded by tax forms and audit reports that need finishing. It can get a bit cramped when there are a few people in here at once, but we manage to make it work. The building has that steady rhythm of people coming and going. You can hear the bank customers across the street and the bikes zooming past outside the window. It is a very urban feel. I have been doing this for quite some time now, and the office reflects that. It is not about having a fancy lobby; it is about having a place where the work actually gets done. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just life in the city. We have some plants in the corner that try their best to stay green despite the dust. Most days are spent talking to clients about their finances and typing away. It is a basic life, but it is good. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a small practice here for Ca Jayachandra, helping folks with their accounting needs.
