Our office is at number 5 Krishnarajendra Road, inside the Lakshmi Complex. We are right across from Vani Vilas Hospital, so there are always people and ambulances moving around outside. It’s a very busy part of town. We’ve been here in the complex for many years now. The office is a simple one, mostly filled with books and old records. I spend most of my day sitting here meeting people who come in for various bits of business. It’s a traditional setup, nothing like the modern offices you see in the tech parks. We have old wooden furniture and the windows let in all the noise from the street. It’s a bit crowded in this area, and parking is always a struggle for anyone coming to visit. We don’t really do any promotion; people just know where we are. Usually, it’s people from the neighborhood or folks who have been coming to us for a long time. We handle different kinds of work depending on what is needed that day. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk and slow, steady work. The hospital across the street is a constant reminder of how busy this city is. We just keep our heads down and do what we need to do. It’s been our base for a long time and we don’t plan on moving. There is always someone coming in with a question or a document to look at. We just stay here and help whoever walks through the door.
