You can find us right opposite the police station on Commercial Street. We’re on the corner near Lubbay Masjid Street. It’s a very busy part of the city, and there’s always a crowd outside. C A Rahaman & Co has been around for quite a bit. The shop is old and has that specific smell of a place that’s seen many years of business. We sell a variety of things, and the shelves are usually packed right up to the ceiling. It can be a bit hard to find things sometimes, but we know exactly where everything is tucked away. It’s mostly family running the place. We don’t go for anything modern or flashy. The floor is a bit worn down from all the people walking in and out. We talk to everyone who comes through the door, whether they buy something or not. Sometimes we just sit on the stools and watch the street life. It’s never boring on Commercial Street. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here. If someone needs something specific, they just ask, and we go digging in the back. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it works for us. We just keep things moving and try to be helpful when we can. That’s about it for us.
