Our little shop is tucked away at number 27, right behind the Janata Hotel on 27th Cross. Malleshwaram is a great place to be, especially in the 3rd Sector where things are a bit more relaxed than the main market area. We have been in this location for quite some time now. Most people who live around here know the hotel, so it is easy to find us if you just walk around to the back street. We sell all kinds of novelties, from small stationery items to things you might need for the house or a party. It is a small space, so we have stuff hanging from the hooks on the ceiling and piled up in the corners. It can be a bit hard to navigate the floor if you are in a big hurry. I spend my mornings sweeping the front step and getting the daily display ready for the walk-in customers. We do not have any corporate backing or big managers telling us what to do. It is just us running the show every day from morning to night. Malleshwaram has changed a lot since we first opened, but this particular street still feels like the old days. We get a lot of regulars who stop by just to see what new things we have brought in from the suppliers. It is not a polished business by any means. The door squeaks a bit when you open it and the paint is peeling in some spots on the wall, but it is our place. We enjoy the chat with the neighbors more than anything else.
