Bombay Rayon Fashions Limited

This is our second unit over in the 4th Phase of Peenya Industrial Area, located at No. 288. It feels a bit different from the other phases, maybe a little more spread out but just as noisy once the shifts get going. The building is a large, grey structure that blends in with everything else on the street. Inside, the ceilings are high, which helps with the heat, but the sound of the machinery still echoes off the walls. We spend most of our time standing at the long tables, inspecting the dye quality or the weave of the fabric. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections of the floor. You will usually find rolls of cloth stacked up to the ceiling in the corners. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some old calendars and the safety posters required by the city. The tea break is the highlight of the afternoon when someone brings in snacks from the local bakery. We talk about the traffic or the weather while we rest our feet for twenty minutes. It is a long day for everyone, and the work can be repetitive, but we are used to it. By the time we lock up No. 288, the sun is usually gone and the streetlights in Peenya are flickering on for the night.
