Bharath International Travel, Mysore

Our office is tucked away at 249, 6th Cross in J.C. Nagar, right there on the Chamundi Hill Road in Mysore. It’s a pretty busy spot with people heading up the hill or coming back down into the main part of the city. Most of the day is spent answering the phone or looking at flight schedules on the old computer. People come in asking about bus tickets to Bangalore or trying to figure out how to get a passport renewed without too much trouble. We’ve got a couple of desks and some chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job. Myosre is a nice place to work because it’s not as crazy as the bigger metros, but we still get our fair share of stress when a booking goes wrong or a train is cancelled. We don’t have a fancy waiting room, just some old magazines and a water cooler in the corner. Sometimes we just sit and talk about the local news while waiting for the next customer. The 2nd Main road gets a bit loud with the traffic, especially during the festival seasons. We’ve been at this for a bit, so we know the shortcuts and which airlines are being difficult this week. It’s just us here, trying to help people get from one place to another without a headache. It's simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We just keep things moving one ticket at a time through the week.
