Bharat Silks Group

Bharat Silks Group operates out of 201, Blue Bell, which is part of the Esteem Park Apartments on Rose Garden Road. We are located in J.P. Nagar, Phase V in Bangalore - 560078. It is a bit different because we are based in an apartment complex rather than a big industrial building. This makes the workspace feel a bit more like a home than a cold office. We have rolls of silk and fabric samples tucked into different corners of the rooms. The Rose Garden Road area is actually quite nice, and you can see a bit of green from the windows. Working in Bangalore means we are always worrying about the rain and if it will affect the transport of the delicate fabrics. We spend our days checking the quality of the weaves and talking to weavers or buyers. It’s a lot of manual checking and looking at colors under different lights. The lift in the building is sometimes slow, so we take the stairs if we are in a hurry. It’s a quiet place mostly, except when we have a big shipment arriving and the hallways get a bit crowded with boxes. We don't have any fancy marketing people here, just some staff who know a lot about silk and how to manage the paperwork. It’s a steady pace and we prefer it that way, away from the noise of the main city roads. We usually finish up by six in the evening and head home.
