Our shop is on Rajmahal Road in BTM Layout 2nd Stage, right at 39/1. It’s usually full of half-taken-apart laptops and monitors waiting for parts to arrive. We have wires running everywhere and the smell of solder is pretty common in the back room where we do the repairs. People bring in computers that won't start or phones with cracked screens, and we just do what we can to get them working again. It’s not a shiny retail store; it’s more of a workshop where things actually get fixed by hand. We keep some keyboards and mice on the shelves for sale, but mostly we are busy with the technical stuff inside the machines. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and cars, so we usually keep the fan on high to drown out the sound. Sometimes a repair takes longer than we thought because the parts don't arrive on time, and we have to call the customer to explain the delay. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people; we just tell them what’s broken and what it will cost to fix it. We’ve been in this BTM spot for a while and have seen a lot of different gadgets come through the door. It’s just a small team of us here, and we usually eat our lunch at the desks while we work on a motherboard or install some new software for a customer.
