Best Tools & Fasteners

You can find us over at Shop Number 3, in the building at No. 166. It’s on Dispensary Road, which runs right parallel to Commercial Street. People get lost sometimes looking for us because Commercial Street is so busy and distracting, but Dispensary Road is a bit more tucked away. We go by Best Tools & Fasteners. It’s a lot of small stuff here, mostly nuts, bolts, screws, and all the tools you’d need to use them. I spend a lot of my afternoon just putting things back in their bins because they always end up mixed together after a long day. The shop isn’t very big, but we use every inch of the walls to hang things up. Sometimes the NC Road traffic makes it hard to hear, but you get used to the background noise after a while. We’ve been in this little spot for a bit, and the people in the neighborhood know us. It’s mostly just hard work and keeping the drawers labeled so we don't lose track of the thousands of pieces we have. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on the counter that gets cold because I’m busy looking for a specific fastener for someone who came in. It’s not a glamorous business, just selling tools and fasteners to folks who need them for their own projects or fixes. We stay open pretty late some days if we have a lot of stock to count or new orders to put away.
