Basil Hotels

Basil Hotels is located right at 16/1 Gupta Layout in Halasoor. If you know Bangalore, you know how Halasoor can get with the traffic and the noise, especially near 1st Cross. We have been here for a bit, just running the hotel and trying to keep everything in order. Most of our time is spent checking people in and out or making sure the kitchen has what it needs for breakfast. It’s a pretty simple setup. We aren’t trying to be the fanciest place in the city, just a spot where someone can sleep and have a shower without any trouble. The staff here are mostly locals who know the shortcuts around the neighborhood. Sometimes the elevator acts up or we have to wait on the laundry to come back, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The building isn't brand new, so there’s always a bit of painting or fixing to do somewhere. We just handle things as they come up. We don’t have a big corporate office telling us what to do every minute. It’s more about the daily grind of keeping the rooms tidy and the front desk covered. If you walk by Gupta Layout, you’ll see our sign. It’s just us doing our jobs and trying to keep the place running as smoothly as we can for whoever walks through the door today.
