Basil Apparel is on the second floor of No. 216, which is on 45th Cross in Jayanagar 8th Block. We are very close to the ICICI Bank and the Sangam Circle. Jayanagar is a nice area, a bit quieter than the center of the city, which we appreciate. Our office and workspace are usually a bit cluttered with samples and rolls of merchandise. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or on the computer trying to coordinate between different suppliers and customers. It isn't always smooth sailing. Sometimes a shipment gets stuck or a sample doesn't look like the drawing, and we have to spend hours figuring out what went wrong. We have a small group of employees here, and we’ve all been working together for a while. There is no corporate dress code or anything like that; we just wear whatever is comfortable for a day of work. We don't have any big slogans on the walls. We just focus on getting the merchandise out the door. The building we are in is older, so the elevator can be a bit moody sometimes, but the location is convenient for most of us. We like being near Sangam Circle because there are good places to eat nearby. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent apparel business and keep our heads above water.
