Best And Dry

Our shop, Best And Dry, is located at Shop No. 1 on Survey 82/1 in Jai Hanuman Nagar. We are really close to the Mahindra Service Center, so a lot of people use that as a landmark when they are trying to find us. We mostly deal with cleaning clothes and making sure things look decent again. The shop is filled with the smell of detergent and the sound of the steam iron going off. It’s not a big operation. It’s just a few of us here. We have racks of clothes hanging up everywhere, some waiting to be picked up and others just brought in. The floor is concrete and we have big tables for folding everything. We don't have any fancy machines that do all the work for us; a lot of it is just done by hand. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside and the irons are running all day. We’ve been in Jai Hanuman Nagar for a bit now and we know most of the neighbors. They drop off their shirts on the way to work and pick them up a few days later. We don't promise anything crazy, we just try to get the stains out and keep things tidy. It’s a simple business but it keeps us busy from morning till night. Sometimes we get behind if there’s a lot of rain, but we do our best to catch up with all the piles of laundry. We just keep the steam going.
