Amith Garment Service is tucked away in the Nagendra Block of BSK 1st Stage. We have been in this neighborhood for quite some time now. It is a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling repairs and alterations for people nearby. Our shop is quite small and the shelves are usually overflowing with fabric scraps and bags of clothes waiting to be picked up. We don't have any fancy signs or a big storefront. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or folks who heard about us from someone else in the area. The sewing machines are almost always running from the moment we open until we close up for the night. Sometimes the thread gets tangled or a needle breaks, and we have to pause for a bit, but that's just how it goes. We try to get things finished when we say we will, though sometimes we get a bit behind if a difficult job comes in. Banashankari is a lively place, and we like being part of the daily rhythm here. We spend a lot of time sitting at our benches, squinting at seams and making sure the buttons are on tight. It is quiet, steady work and it suits us just fine. We don't worry about being the biggest shop around. We just want to make sure we do right by the people who bring their clothes to us.
