Bangalore

We are located at the ITC Hotel Windsor Manor in Bangalore. It’s a very famous building with that old-fashioned British style, but for those of us working here, it’s just where we spend our days. Bangalore is a fast city, but inside the hotel grounds, things feel a bit slower and more formal. We handle a lot of different things depending on the day. Sometimes it’s guest relations, other times it’s making sure the rooms are exactly how they should be. It’s a big place, so there’s always something that needs fixing or someone who needs help finding their way around. The weather in Bangalore is usually nice, which helps when you have to move between the different parts of the hotel. We don't go around saying we are the best; we just try to keep up with the standards that a place like this requires. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of talking to people from all over the world. Our office area is tucked away from the main guest view. It’s full of schedules, staff rosters, and lists of things to do. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. It can be tiring, especially when there are big events or weddings happening, but we just get on with it. It’s a grand setting for sure, but the work itself is just regular service and management, day in and day out.
