Bangalore University, Bangalore

Bangalore University is located in the 560043 area of Bengaluru. It is a large place with many different buildings spread out. We are specifically over at the P.D. section. There are always students walking around with books or sitting under the trees talking. It is a very busy atmosphere, especially when exams are coming up or when a new semester starts. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things here. Our offices are full of files and old wooden desks. It feels like a place that has been here for many decades, which it has. You can hear the sounds of the city in the distance, but the campus itself feels a bit separate. We spend our days processing applications and answering student queries. It is not always exciting, but it is important for keeping the place going. The hallways are long and have that specific smell of old paper. We don't have fancy modern furniture; everything is very practical and built to last. Sometimes the monkeys come onto the campus and cause a bit of a stir. We just carry on with the paperwork and the meetings. It is a big institution, but when you work in one office, it feels like a small community. Most of us have been working here for a long time and we know how the system works. The tea lady comes by twice a day, which is the highlight for some of us. It is just a normal university office life.
