Bang (The Ritz Carlton Hotel)

Bang is located on the rooftop of the Ritz Carlton on Residency Road. We are at number 99, right across from Sweet Chariot and next to that big LIC building. Being up high gives us a good view of the Bangalore skyline, which is always changing. You can see the traffic crawling along Residency Road from up here, but it feels a lot quieter than it does on the street level. We have a large open area with plenty of seating. It’s a bit different from the usual places in the city because of the height and the breeze we get in the evenings. We serve drinks and small plates of food. The staff spends a lot of time keeping the glass clean and the furniture in place because it gets windy. It’s not a cramped place; there’s a lot of room to move around. We get a mix of people, some staying at the hotel and others coming from the nearby offices. It’s a good spot to watch the sunset if the clouds aren’t too thick. We don't have a lot of loud decorations, just simple lighting and the city lights below us. It took a while to get everything set up just right on the roof. We just want people to have a place to sit and look at the city for a bit. It’s a nice break from the busy streets downstairs. We stay open until late at night when the city starts to quiet down a bit.
