Baldev Farms (Project Of The George Foundation)

We started Baldev Farms a while back as a project of The George Foundation. You can find us at Gandhi Nagar, M R Lane, over in the Manavarthipet area near Nalbandwadi 2. It is not some high-tech operation with fancy gear. We are just a group of people who spend our days working the land and dealing with whatever the weather throws at us. Some mornings it is quite cold and we are out there before the sun is even up properly. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters for us. Most of our time is spent getting our hands dirty and making sure the crops are doing okay. The address is tucked away in a busy part of the neighborhood, so it is always a bit noisy with people passing by, but once you get into the work, you don't notice it much. We have a small shed where we keep all the tools and sometimes we just sit there and have tea when the rain gets too heavy to work outside. It is honest work and it is often quite tiring. We have been here for a good while and we just keep doing what we have always done. We don't really have any big plans other than keeping the farm running and doing right by the foundation. It is just a regular place with regular people trying to grow things.
