Balanoor Plantations & Industries Ltd.

Our office is located at Jayanagar 722/2. While the name Balanoor Plantations & Industries Ltd. sounds a bit formal, we are actually a pretty small group of people working out of this space. Most of our actual work happens far away on the plantations, but this is where the paperwork and the coordination get done. The office is filled with old filing cabinets and stacks of papers about weather patterns and crop yields. It’s not one of those modern offices with bean bags or fancy coffee machines. We just have a regular kettle and some tea we bring from the estates. People come in and out all day, mostly staff or suppliers who have been working with us for decades. It feels more like a house than a company headquarters sometimes. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, trying to get updates on the harvests. Sometimes the phone lines act up or the internet goes down, and then everything becomes a bit of a mess. We’ve been in Jayanagar for a long time, so we know the neighbors well. It’s a quiet street for the most part. We don't do a lot of public-facing stuff here. It’s just a place where we get the business done so the plantations can keep running. It’s practical and a bit old-fashioned, but that’s the way we’ve always done it. Most days we are just buried under ledger books and shipping schedules.
